Fundraising for Benji

This is Benjamin Ian Read (Benji). He is 11 months old and was recently diagnosed with cancer.

On Thursday 18th March everything was suddenly changed for him as he was rushed into hospital after continuously vomiting and having a swollen head.

He was immediately taken in for a CT scan and to his parents (Sam and Liv) devastation their beautiful little boy was found to have a brain tumour.

From there he had to have a MRI scan, which then unfortunately led to finding out the tumour had spread and could not be surgically removed and we are hoping he is able to receive chemo therapy.

This strong brave boy then had to undergo a operation which has helped with the pressure on his brain.

We cannot even begin to explain how hard this has been for everyone especially his amazing parents Sam and Liv and big brother Louie who have been by his side every step of the way.

Benji is the most beautiful loving strong wee boy, who has been so brave with everything he has gone through so far. He is much loved and we are all hoping for the best.

This is where we need your help, this amazing young family will be going through a lot of hard times in the future and we are trying to gather as many donations as we an to help with any costs and bills that may incur at this heart breaking time.

Hi everyone,

We wanted to thank you all for the love and support that everyone has given our family over the past 6 months. This year has been one of the hardest we have all had to experience, and we really appreciate all the generosity and kindness people have given. We are so blessed to still have Benji with us today. He is such a strong boy and we are all enjoying every moment with him that we can.

As Benjis give a little page will be coming to an end, we would like to say on behalf of the Read/Barrett family that all donations have been greatly appreciated. We are overwhelmed with how everyone has come together and found a way to support Sam and Liv through all of this.

For anyone who would like to - Donations are still welcome until the 22nd of September when the page closes.
