Please don't let someone's cruel act take away our lovely girl - she's so close to getting through the most horrendous ordeal imaginable.

Our beautiful golden retriever Daisy is heart of our family. She was poisoned by rat poison that we got treated immediately and started to bounce back from really quickly. Within a week we found out that someone had gone a step further and poisoned her with a rarely used form of possum poison. We have tried to do everything possible for her but we have used up all of our pet insurance and I have already paid $3,000 above the insurance money. The vet has told us that it would be an absolute tragedy if she had to be put down now becuase we had run out of money.
She needs ongoing medication to reduce the calcium levels in her sytem from the possum poison and also Vitamin K for the rat poison. But what will relly help her body and the skin stop dying is daily treatments in a hyperbaric chamber. It is a game changer.
My young daughter has begged me to go on here and ask for help so we can save our golden girl. The specialist vet has never treated anything like this before and he doesn't want to see the fight to save her end either.
We are raising money for our beautiful, sweet natured golden retriever to help cover her additional vet bills. She was poisoned twice in a week by people living nearby - once with rat poison and then by possum poison. We have spent over $10,000 so far and our vet has said that it would be a tragedy for her to have come so far to now have to put her down due to running out of funds.
The money will pay for the amount will pay for the remaining treatments with the specialist vet and the hyperbaric treatments to let the skin on her back and legs start to grown again. The money will go directly to the vets.
Thank you to everyone who tried to help Daisy 1 August 2019
Sadly last night after 5 weeks on an emotional roller coaster with our beautiful girl, who has been such a fighter, we had to let her go. It wasn’t the skin wounds in the end, it was a blood clot. We are absolutely devastated and are eternally grateful for the kindness and specialist support we have received from Sean at North Shore Emergency Veterinary who has been a Saint and Mark at VSG.
Thank you for your support and trying to save our gorgeous girl. We are devastated but hope she is in a happier place now.
