Please help give to the traumatised therapy horses.

Donna is based in New Plymouth and is an animal lover and an angel for all creatures who need a caring hand. She takes in birds, pigs, dogs, cats, horses etc, if it needs help, she is there. Despite being a single mum on an benefit Donna gives her all.

Part of her family is a team of mini horses, these are therapy horses who go out into the community to share their love and raise awareness.

In the early hours of this morning some dogs got into Donnas property and mauled the horses, Bubbles is critically injured and needs urgent vet care. Paris was mauled to death. The other four horses have been chased to exhaustion and suffered bites. They are sore, and stiff, and terrified. Donna has to move them to somewhere safe until they have recovered enough to come home again.

They also cannot return until the dogs responsible have been found or she can undertake the mammoth task of totally dog proofing the large property.

Donna needs help to cover massive vet bills, grazing spaces and food for the horses who have to be kept away from home. She also needs to grieve and help her horse grieve if they are to continue their therapy work.
