Max has cerebral palsy and we would love to get him to Australia to the Timmermans Clinic for intensive therapy to improve his mobility
Canterbury
Our Max had a rough start to life, he required CPR at birth, suffered a stroke, had multiple seizures and spent the first 2 months of his life in intensive care. His prognosis was poor, and we were told he may not survive. Max did not agree with this and fought.
Max is now nearly 3 years old and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegic) causing tightness in his limbs, pain, and difficulty co ordinating movements, making everyday tasks harder to achieve. After a lot of hard work and determination, Max can now walk with the help of a walker but he would love to be up and playing with his friends.
Max is such a happy, social wee boy, he loves music, swimming, grocery shopping, and cars.
He is very determined and motivated to keep progressing, and has already overcome so many obstacles, and we would like to ask for your help to help him achieve some more.
We would like to take Max to the Timmermans Clinic in Melbourne (timmermansmethod.com.au) for intensive therapy/treatment to help improve his strength and mobility and maybe even take his first independent steps!
The cost of this is currently beyond our means so we would like to ask for a small donation to help cover the cost of treatment.
Thank you in advance our family greatly appreciate it.
Mark, Nicola and Max Cournane
Any donations provided will be used to cover the cost of treatment at the Timmermans Clinic, flights to Australia and accomadation costs
