Surgical treatment needed for our lovely bun Pinto
Canterbury
In June of this year, we found an abscess in the mouth of our sweet bunny Pinto. After several vet visits he underwent a surgery to remove the abscess and to prevent infection.
Shortly after, his companion, best friend and sister Tofu the rabbit was hit by a car and sadly passed away. Two weeks later, tragically, after getting Pinto a new baby bunny friend to help with his loss and grief this bun, Coraline, also passed away after being attacked by a cat.
Needless to say we are all devastated and the stress of his friends passing and his recent surgery has caused Pinto's abscess to redevelop. The abscess has gotten infected and has spread to his bone. Pinto will have to undergo another surgery, this time with a specialised rabbit doctor who will give him the best care he needs. Pinto is the sweetest baby boy bunny we have ever known and will do anything to save him, ease his pain and clear this infection and abscess permanently.
We are a working class and student family and do not have the funds to cover the $1200 cost of this surgery. We have just cleared the $800 debt from his previous surgery. We believe that everyone deserves the mutual love and affection a pet family member brings to us even if it is difficult to pay for emergency vet treatments. Pinto's illness and stress is treatable and he is otherwise healthy. He will most likely recover but only if he undergoes this surgery.
Please keep Pinto in your thoughts and share this page. Any views may help!

All $1200 will go towards this surgery. In the event that the surgery bill is less than this, money will be put towards medication and future vet bills for Pinto which is an additional expense.
