Please help reunite my family.

Hi everyone my name is Kara Easton, i was born in the UK but now live in NZ. I am married to Sam Easton ( a kiwi ) we have been together for 12 years and have 2 children Morgan and Maxx. And 2 from my previous marriage Amie and Saul. There dad also lives in NZ. I have set this page up to ask for your help to bring my daughter Amie her partner Oliver and Grandchildren Matthew 5 and Skyla 3 to NZ. I moved back to NZ in 2016 after living in the UK for 5 years. But at that time of moving back it wasn't feasible for my daughter to move back with us as she had just recently given birth to my second grandchild on the 2nd February and we were due to move on the 18th October 2016.

Both me and my daughter knew this was going to be difficult, but we just put our brave faces on and got on with things. I got caught up in the task of moving us, sorting flights ,passports mine and my sons visa and the shipping container. Amie helped where ever she could and was a great support. we saw each other every single day, making the most of our time together. We did have lots of fun especially sorting through things and reminiscing. But then there where days when we would just cry and hold each other. we would say how the hell are we going to do this and Amie being Amie selfless would just look at me and say "Mum your doing it so that you, Sam and the boys have a better life" So we would pick ourselves up wipe away our tears and carry on. Amie even managed to throw me a surprise birthday/leaving party in all the sadness.

As it got closer to the day i was starting to realize just how hard it was going to be without them, i couldn't sleep and was having panic attacks but what could i do everything was in place and paid for the furniture was on its way to NZ. I had to keep reminding myself of the bigger picture.

The day for us to leave finally arrived. It was a very somber day. Walking round not really knowing what to say or do. Everyone trying there best not to break down. Hold my granddaughter knowing this was going to be the last time and a long time. Trying to smile and be happy to a 8 month old baby who had no real clue what was going on. And my grandson just thinking grandma, granddad and uncles where just going on holiday. It was difficult to say the least.

Then the knock came the Taxis was here and my world fell apart. I cried all the way to the Airport.

I still to this day do not know how i got on that plane.

Its coming up for 3 years since we left UK and its still no easier if anything its harder. The birthdays and Christmases we have missed. We have always been a very close family and its difficult to carry on with everyday life. My boys miss her so much and often sit and cry that they miss there big sister.

I have suffered from depression for over 20 years and i have had some very low moments in my life but i have to say that this is my lowest . I am currently on medication for my depression and sleeping and seeing a counselor which helps me, but when the bad days come they come with force. And my poor husband knows to well what they look like but has been and carries on to be the rock i need to I try to carry on with a smile, but the truth is i want my family back together. Amie has also been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and is finding it hard to cope, its heartbreaking when she calls in tears and i cant do anything.

So i had a really down day last week and i just thought i need to get her here, i need to reunite my family. I need to be there for her and help her. We need our family back together. So i am doing something that i never normally do and doesn't come easy to me, I'm asking for your Help to get my daughter, partner and grandchildren to NZ to live with us as a family again.
