Seeking support for baby Remy's leukaemia journey

Levin, Manawatu-Wanganui

Two year old Remy has recently been diagnosed with accute leukemia, this has turned this little man and his family’s world upside down in an instant.

Remy is a bright and beautiful little boy, deeply loved by his mum Elise, Josh his Dad, and his big brother Connor who is 4. What began as a normal chapter of life has suddenly become a journey no family ever expects to face.

Remy is at the beginning of a long and challenging road. We know Remy and his family will be staying at Ronald McDonald House for the next four to six weeks, followed by ongoing treatment expected to last at least two years.

Based in Levin, the family now faces frequent travel to Auckland, time away from home and work with many added pressures.

These funds raised through this give a little page will help support flights from Palmerston North to Auckland for treatment over the next two years and the many unexpected costs that come with navigating this Leukemia journey.

We are reaching out to help ease that burden so they can put all of their energy into Remy’s healing. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is a powerful way to show your support.

Please keep Remy and his family in your thoughts and prayers. They are surrounded by so much love, and we truly believe in his strength and resilience as he faces this fight.

With love and gratitude, thank you for standing beside them.

A wee little update  11 April 2026

Remy is currently at Starship Hospital receiving treatment for leukemia. So far, he has undergone two general anaesthetic procedures — one to place his port for intravenous medications and chemotherapy, and another for a lumbar puncture and bone marrow aspiration.

His levels are stable at the moment, though he still requires regular blood and platelet transfusions. His energy is quite low, but he is fighting incredibly hard through this.

We are truly overwhelmed by the love and support from everyone, as well as the funds that have been raised. We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you — your kindness does not go unnoticed.

Thank you again so much ❤️

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
