Iona and Lucia are the 6 and 3 yr old daughters (respectively) of Tai Hartley Dixon - a 40 yr old vibrant and an incredible woman who was married to her soul mate - Scott. Tai is originally from the UK and moved to Blenheim to work as a midwife and experience NZ. Tai was such an incredible woman to her family and friends. She was super loving, caring, fun, loyal - and an amazing colleague to many. She was a very dedicated and caring midwife to many new families in both the Blenheim and Christchurch regions. Tai, Scott and their 2 daughters had recently moved to CHCH for work. Tragically on the way to her night shift at the maternity unit - Tai was killed in a car accident on Sunday 2nd June 2019. She was hit head on by a van travelling on the wrong side of the road. Tai leaves behind distraught and devastated family and friends. She will be missed beyond words. Scott, Iona and Lucia are just heart broken and we would like to fund raise for the family to cover current expenses accrued due to Tai's sudden death and to support the future for the 2 girls - which they now face without their dear mum who was dedicated beyond words to her wee angels. Scott, Iona and Lucia were everything to Tai, it is incomprehensible how they will go on without her by their sides... They need all the love and support we can give them at this terrible time.

Hi Scott, we hope this helps a little. I had the pleasure of knowing Tai for a short time, and we are the family who had the big bear needing a new home who your girls now have (with the yellow and brown felt hat and the blue bag). We are also a family and if we can help in any way please let us know. We send our warmest wishes to you and your girls. All the very best, Jackie Blunt and Steve Lee
