Please help us with our "Angel" ....Summer.

Our beautiful 2 year old girl has recently been diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called "Angelman Syndrome" inwhich affects around 1 in 25,000 people.

This means for Summer, she will unlikely communicate through speech, she may not walk unaided and the likelihood of seizures is real along with many other challenges she faces with this disorder.

She makes me so proud everyday of her achievements in which she has many of and we will ensure we do everything to help her continue with these.

Although this beautiful little spirit who is full of shear determination and "I will do this" attitude in her eyes, she is currently 100% reliant on me to do for her what a 2 year old without this disorder does, however the love that this special little girl has in her eyes and heart is so rewarding and the warmth that surrounds her is unbelievable, it is so worth it.

Someone said to me when Summer was first diagnosed "She was born to you as her mother for a reason and that being you will give all you have to give and you will never give up".

A few months before Summer was diagnosed, I nearly lost my life due to an operation I needed went terribly wrong, resulting in significant damage caused to my kidneys and a very long recovery period with frequent admissions into hospital due to ongoing problems.

Due my husband needing many weeks off work unpaid the financial pressure has snowballed.

Although we are working with as many therapists/professionals and organisations as we can for Summers requirements there are many others that we know Summer would benefit from however our financial position sees us unable to do so.

I have never been one to ask for help, however I would do anything for my girl and I need to know I am doing everything in my power to make her life a little easier and enjoyable.
