Lets make young Daniel's dream come true! Donate now to raise funds for him to finally walk!
Auckland
This is 14 year old Daniel Bowen, son of a good friend, both who live in Nadi, Fiji Islands. Born with Cerebral Palsy and confined to a manual chair. Daniel is a student at Nadi Centre of Special Education in Fiji. He recently found out that he was eligible for treatment so he could walk! The team at Shriner's Hospital in Hawaii have kindly offered to undergo this surgery. The whole treatment will cost a total of $10,000.00 to have done.
Daniel's dream is to be able to walk, his dream is to help other people with Cerebral Palsy walk one day too. His mother Sangeeta Narayan describes her son as a bubbly, understanding young man who loves to sing. She said just the other day when she was feeding Daniel he said, "mum one day I will be able to walk and cook some food for you and feed you".
Please help all of Daniel's dreams come true beginning with him having the surgery.
Such a thoughtful, kind hearted and cheerful young man.
I'm involved because I have known Daniel Bowen most of his life and now this amazing opportunity has been given to make him walk and I believe he totally is deserving of it!
Funds raised will be used for Daniel and his mother to fly to Hawaii and have a course of surgery where rodding and recovery etc will take place over 3 months. Then to return home, god willing able to walk unaccompanied.
