Poppy's quest for Wheels

I’m a SUPERHERO.

I’m 5 year old girl with Arthrogryposis and a rare genetic disorder ZC4H2 making me one of 75 in the WHOLE world.

Although things have been bumpy along my 5 year journey, I have always had my twin Willow at my side. I love doing everything with her and she is my biggest motivator as she doesn’t see boundaries only opportunities.

My body doesn’t move like other kids and I need a lot of help from others to do the things I love. I love the outdoors and my parents try really hard to give me the same opportunities as my sister; sometimes this means they even have to carry me places.

I have joints that are very tight, floppy muscles and an airway that needs lots of support meaning at the moment I still ride on the back of my Mama’s bike. BUT I’m a big kid now and would really like to be like the other kids (especially my twin) and ride my own bike.

To keep up with the other kids I need a specialized trike but mama said they are expensive so I have to wait a little while first. I am good at waiting, I have to do a lot of it in the hospital. The trike comes at a cost of $8429.00 we are trying to apply to other charities also to help cover these costs.
