Helping the Stokes Valley community work towards achieving the goal of making New Zealand Predator Free by 2050.
Wellington
Our mission is to help the Stokes Valley community work towards achieving the goal of making New Zealand Predator Free by 2050.
An estimated 68,000 native birds are killed in New Zealand by introduced predators every night. The Predator Free NZ Trust estimate roughly that having a trap in every 5th urban backyard is enough to create a safe environment for our native wildlife to flourish.
We are a community-based non-profit group and therefore dependent on the generosity of our community for volunteer help and funding. Donations help us to buy materials needed to make traps and to raise awareness in the community.
To purchase material for making traps for distribution to the Stokes Valley community and for promotional campaigns to build awareness of the predator free 2050 objective.
