We want to provide financial support for Esme (4 years), and her parents Jason and Megan, as she fights stage 4 Burkitt's Lymphoma.
Otago
Esme is a beautiful 4 year old who has just started her journey battling stage 4 Burkitt's Lymphoma. She and her awesome parents Megan and Jason, are currently in the oncology children's ward at Christchurch Hospital. Esme has had surgery and is now undergoing intensive chemotherapy for the next six months. Her journey is likely to span the next couple of years.
Jason and Megan are appreciative of the support that has already been shown in the short time since they were hit by this awful news. Setting up this page is to allow those who would want to contribute financially to their cause.
We are setting up this page to support them with costs of supporting Esme through her journey and they will ultimately decide how to spend any money raised.
Jason and Megan know very well that others are struggling with this awful disease and at this point they envisage distributing any excess funds to the cancer charities like Ronald McDonald House that they are already benefiting from.
I am their neighbour, friend and work mate.
Anything the family need over the next 6 months to 2 years while they are based at Christchurch Hospital, such as flights, accommodation, food. Surplus funds will be donated to cancer charities of their choice.
Grateful 30 August 2020
This is a final message to say a massive thank you to all that have supported Esme, Megan and Jason on this journey.
Esme is doing great and loving being home. She is back at kindy and has recently turned 5! Jason and Megan are forever grateful for the support they've received - and continue to receive.
We will be closing this page soon. If you would like to support other families battling cancer CCF and Ronald Mcdonald House Charity are great places to support.
Thank you.
