Putting 'Christmas Dinner on the Table' for $25

$500 of $5,000 goal
Given by 13 generous donors in 4 weeks

$ 25 to share 'Christmas Dinner on the Table' with another family, good kai & goodwill uplifting us all.

Hawke's Bay, Central Hawke's Bay District

Our Food Rescue & Free-store charity works it’s butt off distributing food to 700+ people a week.

‘Things are really tight’ has been a bit of a theme this year.. the reality is usually much more serious.

Our volunteer team have been asking and checking in with people about what their biggest challenge is likely to be for Xmas 2024.

Finding money for presents, and putting petrol in the car to get to family, is forefront on the anxiety list. Food, so important to our wellbeing, is a luxury some can’t afford to prioritise this year.

Instead of the 500 ‘treats’ Hampers we usually make we want to provide 200 families with a ‘Xmas Dinner on the table’ kit, bringing comfort, delicious roast dinner aromas, and reassurance to the table this Xmas.

By donating $25 you can make a huge difference this Xmas.

Each $25 donation provides - roasting Chicken, Potatoes, Peas, Gravy, Dessert ingredients & a big dollop of goodwill ! our community will add fresh nutritious produce & baking.

Use of funds
