UPDATE: Arson confirmed cause, view update tab & gallery for more.
In the early hours of the 28th of February my sister Rachel Brown’s garage caught fire, tragically this fire spread quickly through the roof of house. Fortunately we are so grateful that Rachel & my nephew Matty escaped with their lives. Unfortunately they (& my niece Caitlin living in Christchurch currently) lost everything.
Rachel has the biggest heart but the worst luck in life. Rachel is such an amazing support for me & many other people in her life, often putting others before herself so it’s time for us to support her back.
Rachel & Matty are currently relying on the kindness of friends for somewhere to live. Alot of what they lost is irreplaceable but your donation can help them to rebuild a new life for them including a big move for Matty as he heads to Christchurch to live with his Poppa.
Rachel is not only my sister but one of my closest friends & has been an amazing support for me with many things in my life including the loss of our Mummy. I want to do my best to support her through this tough time.
As they were not insured, they will need help to rebuild Rachel, Matty & Caitlin’s life to help replace what they have lost. Help get Matty to Christchurch to live with his Poppa & help Rachel secure somewhere to live.
Arson Confirmed Cause 17 April 2018
To make this situation even more gutting for my family the confirmed cause of the fire is arson. What’s worse is the fire was deliberately lit while everyone was sleeping by a guy who was supposed to be my nephew’s friend & who was staying with them that night. Court case is still pending a verdict.
