Please help us with the much needed work in Waitohi/Tyers Stream. We are raising money in order to afford tools and other resources.

Kia oa katou.

I am the project manager of Waitohi/Tyers Stream Reserve restoration. A lot of work needs to be done to help restore 'the forest in the heart of Khandallah'. Noted as being 'an ecologically significant area' it has become over grown with weeds. It is also a historically significant area due to being the home of Maori Chief Te Wharipouri.

Currently the site is very neglected; it is overgrown with weeds, the stream is polluted and just needs a bit of TLC to encourage more wildlife in and around Khandallah.

While we have been chipping away at, it would be more effective with the use of certain tools and other resources. We also want to promote the cause in the community. Currently we don't have the funds to afford what we need to carry out effective and efficient work.
