Br Rami Hamidah,was a Pedestrian killed suddenly yesterday in Upper Hutt hit by a Van driver.

Rami Hamidah tragically passed away last week in an unfortunate accident in Upper Hutt, Wellington.

He was a devoted father to four children Ibrahim (15), Abdul Rahman (9), Yousef (8), Yasmeen (4), a loving husband for his wife Abeer, a caring son for an aged mother and a fatherly figure for his young brother.

This loss is devastating for his dear ones and there are no words to describe the pain in the family. Rami was also known for his bubbly enthusiasm to his colleagues and his loss is deeply felt at work

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this hour. All funds would be paid to Rami's wife –Abeer Shaktour.

Candlelit Remembrance Walk for Rami  28 June 2017

Members of Pinehaven Playcentre are organising a Candlelit Remembrance Walk for local man, Rami Hamidah, tragically killed crossing SH2 last month. Details of the event are https://www.facebook.com/events/1428925600532369/?active_tab=about.

On the night, a petition will also be circulated requesting the construction of an overbridge (this will be submitted to Upper Hutt City Council and NZTA) to make the Totara Park / SH2 pedestrian crossing a SAFER place.
