Supporting Team Kerr, while they support their daughter/ sister's fight with Leukemia.
Porirua, Wellington
Thank you for coming to our page. Ramona-Jane is our 9 year old daughter, and is fighting Leukemia.
We are a family of 6, and this is quite a journey for every member of 'Team Kerr'. We are isolated (living overseas) from family, and to be honest... need all the help and support we can get! So here I am... starting this page. I am Mum, Elizabeth. Currently at CHOC in Waipapa Hospital with RJ, while the rest of our Team is at home in Titahi Bay with Dad, Rob. Our home life already has it's challenges with a neurodiverse little brother and a Dad who is on a rotating shift roster, as well as, no regular family support with all our relatives living overseas. Soon, RJ and myself will be back home. While there are more trips to Christchurch ahead, we look forward to being home. As well as, continuing to feel the love of our community. Thank you for visiting and thank you for your help, we are very grateful!
The money will support our family over the future years in our battle with Leukemia... things like supports for Ramona-Jane, toys, transport costs for hospital visits, foods... To support the siblings in individual ways too.
Zoo as a family. First CHCH trip coming soon. 15 February 2025
Recently we managed a family zoo day out. Even big sister (aka a teenager) joined us and Ramona-Jane was so happy to have our 6 pack together for the day. Definitely one of her most joyful days she just loved it. We also managed to see the penguins and the tasmanian devil... 2 Wellington Zoo creatures who often hide!!
Mum had an epic day this week... 2 children, 2 hospital visits. As little brother needed dental surgery. Sheesh..go Mum. You got this and you did... You did it!
Lastly, all going well our first week back down to Christchurch is a week away. We don't know until the day if we go or if we delay for a week. So quite hectic to prepare for. We should be there for 1 week. But again... Very unknown just yet. Ramona-Jane will start her blin block during this. Where a continuous medicine starts and she carries a backpack with the IV bag for weeks.
