Rebuilding after a house fire.
Waikato
Kia Ora Whānau,
Our beautiful friend, neighbour & sister, Sarah's life changed in an instant yesterday (Sunday the 3rd of May) when a house fire destroyed everything inside her home - all the bits & pieces collected over a lifetime. Thankfully no one was home, and therefore no one was injured. A tender mercy. However, there is much rebuilding to be done. We know times are incredibly tough for many, but are asking our whānau and our friends to give what you can to help Sarah and her two young boys get back on track. There are so many 'things' that we take for granted - from school uniforms, to the food in the pantry that can no longer be eaten, kid's toys, and so on. It all adds up so quickly. Unfortunately, in this case, none of these things will be replaced by insurance - so we are asking everyone to literally "Give A Little", so that we can make Sarah's life a little brighter moving forward. She is the most deserving person, and I know many of you would be more than honored to help. We appreciate you more than you'll ever know.
Sarah is a long time friend of mine, and her children are besties to my children.
Temporary accomodation. Accomodation moving forward. Replacing as much of Sarah's belongings as we can.
Onwards & Upwards 6 May 2026
Kia Ora everyone. Just thought I'd pop in for a wee update.
Firstly, thank you so so so much to everyone who has donated so far - no matter the amount, it is all so appreciated and together we are building so much peace for the future of Sarah, Moses & Ezra.
Sarah has been offered a new rental property, by her real estate, and it is looking like she will have some keys next Friday, the 15th of May 🙌
It is also not 100% confirmed yet, but we are hopeful that Sarah will get her renters bond back at some point in the near future, due to their house fire originating from a freak accident and not through fault of Sarah or the boys.
We truly thank you once again, from the bottom of our hearts, for your kindness and giving.
As you can imagine, Sarah is incredibly busy trying to navigate a new direction for her little whānau, but I have no doubt that she will check in with each of you as soon as she is able to do so 💙
