Supporting Rick Bone and his Family.

On behalf of Mum and Dad (Nicky and Rick), my sister (Devon) and I (Sophie) have created this page to help support our family.

In late 2021, shortly after moving into our new home, Rick was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Since then, he has faced stage 4 cancer that has spread to other areas of his body, undergoing treatment with remarkable strength, resilience, and determination.

More recently, what was initially thought to be sciatica was discovered to be a tumour affecting his spine. As a result, Rick is now preparing for major spinal surgery soon, followed by a significant recovery period. During this time, he will be unable to work while focusing on his recovery and rehabilitation.

Anyone who knows Rick knows he is hardworking, kind, caring, and extremely passionate about his cars. He values his family above all else and is the sort of person who never hesitates to lend a hand to someone in need.

As a family, we have been doing our best to prepare by selling personal items and raising funds ourselves. However, with the surgery being brought forward so quickly, we have not been able to raise enough to ease the financial pressure that comes with everyday living costs and recovery. We know times are tough for many people right now, so any support, whether through a donation or simply sharing this page, is deeply appreciated and will help give Rick the opportunity to focus on what matters most his recovery.
