Riki the wee baby Dachshund

Emma is a member of our Dachshund New Zealand group who purchased a beautiful wee baby girl Riki at the end of September. Emma noticed baby Riki was very small and underweight compared to her siblings. It has taken a few vet visits to arrive at wee Rikis diagnosis. Emma has been there and back in one week and no one should have to witness what she has and this is the time where she should be having the most amazing and fun and loving time with her bouncing bundle of joy instead of spending hours concerned and crying and numerous expensive vet visits. Emma has spent over $3000 so far and heading towards $5000 very quickly excluding the purchase price of Riki. Little Riki has been diagnosed with Hydrocephalus which is fluid on the brain and she has a 50/50 chance that she will be ok as she is so tiny and her wee head has to grow to catch up, so we have to ensure that Riki gets the treatment required over the next 6 months and this will be very costly for Emma so if we can help to offset some expenses that would be amazing. The next three weeks are going to be the most challenging for Emma and Riki and if all goes well over this time wee Riki has a great chance of a long and healthy life but will need major surgery a bit further down the line. Emma had taken out medical insurance for her wee poppet but with a stand down period of 7 days sadly there will be no payout so we need to help. Thank you so much in advance.
