The Riverhead Citizens' Hall is fundraising for an urgently needed upgrade to its sewerage and water systems. Can you help us?
Auckland
The historic Riverhead Hall is owned by Riverhead community members, and run by a volunteer committee to maintain and manage the hall.
The hall is used extensively by numerous local groups from yoga to knitting to line dancing.
The hall is currently connected to a water tank and septic system which is starting to fail and replacement is our only option.
We are fundraising to specifically tackle the waste and water connection.
Despite many funding applications over the years we cannot rely on current savings to achieve this urgent goal.
The Hall needs a revenue boost or a fairy godmother!
If each resident donated $16, equivalent to a few coffees, we would have the funds to proceed with our waste and water upgrade!
We would graciously appreciate receiving financial support from our community members, and beyond if you are so inclined!
The independent ownership and management of our community hall is unique to us.
We are heartened to see so many new residents becoming involved in the Riverhead Community and encourage all to participate in our local events.
We need your help to ensure we can maintain this valuable community asset.
The Riverhead Hall Society Committee maintain and manage the historic Riverhead Hall built in 1913. The committee aim to provide all manner of amenities for the use of the residents.
The funds will be used to connect the water and waste connections.
If we exceed our target we will apply any surplus to other important maintenance as it arises.
