Ron's Walkathon for Air Rescue

Before he turns 90 this year, Ron Towner wants to raise $90,000 for the Canterbury Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. He plans to do it by walking around the block every day for 90 days. Ron has long admired the work of the Rescue Helicopter crews, and wants to help make a difference at a time when events and community fundraising for the Rescue Helicopter Service have been devastated by Covid. Each year the Trust needs to raise $6m to fully provision services to its communities. With the support of his family, Ron is ready for the challenge.
