We aim to promote literacy in homes by gifting our children with their own books to read at home and purchase new books for our kindergarten

Manawatu / Whanganui

Roslyn Kindergarten are excited to be holding a Scholastic Book Fair from Monday 31 August – Friday 4 September. For this week, children's books will be on display and available for purchase through the Kindergarten.

The purpose of this book fair is to encourage literacy in homes. We would love to raise enough money to put a book in the home each of our children so their families and whanau can be part of their learning.

Children who are read to at home have a higher success rate at school. We see this book fair as an opportunity to get our children excited about books and reading. The children in our community come from a mix of backgrounds and cultures and we are keen to provide equal opportunities to literacy, and to give them the resources to have the best start they can in their education..

We would like to invite you to partner with us by donating to our book fair. A donation of $20 will purchase one book for a child. Donating will enable Roslyn Kindergarten to purchase books for our children and for the kindergarten. We will also receive a percentage of sales to put towards books for this purpose.

About us
