Support Talia for her second World U20's in Peru.
Browns Bay, Auckland
Talia's world turned upside down when she lost her dad a few months ago. The days that followed were filled with moments of sadness, loneliness, and uncertainty, similar to a wild rollercoaster ride. However, deep within her, Talia found a source of resilience that kept her going.
Talia's heart was heavy with loss, yet she didn't let go of her dreams. She made the bold decision to relocate back to South Africa, seeking a fresh start and a chance to continue to fight for her qualification.
With all the changes, Talia found an unexpected source of strength in her new coach (Cyril). She recommitted herself fully to her training with his help and encouragement. And then, Talia accomplished something very special. After working with Cyril in person for just two months, she not only met but exceeded the World U20 standard qualifying times in 100m Hurdles.
I am Talia's mum/manager
The money will be spend on Talia's airfare, uniform, travel and all the travel expences as this is all self funded.
And the countdown starts … 12 August 2024
Talia and I just want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who has donated to Talia’s Givealittle page. Words can't fully express how much your support means to us. Given the short time we had for fundraising, we've accomplished so much together. We’re now in the final week of preparations before Talia joins her New Zealand athletics team for pre-camp in Lima. Thank you for being part of this journey!
