Run 4 Us 2020
This is our annual Fun Run fundraising event to support learning for every student at Newlands Intermediate.

In the past, our fundraising efforts have focussed on providing new and good quality sports and recreation equipment across the school, providing equal opportunities for all students to participate in school-wide events, upgrading musical instruments, purchasing sewing machines and AR/VR equipment to broaden our curriculum.
During our efforts in 2019, the Newlands Intermediate students ran, walked and crawled 9,500.5 km. That is the height of 30,782 Eiffel towers, running the length of the Yenisei River 2.75 times or drilling 3/4 of the way through planet Earth. We are hoping with our extra numbers this year that we break 11,000 km. Astonishingly, 276 students walked/ran a half marathon or more! They are all in the photo above. What a wonderful effort.

It is with a sigh of relief that I can announce that we have kicked Covid 19 to touch and are ready to run.
Tomorrow at 7:30 the kids of Newlands Intermediate will line up to run/walk/crawl as many laps as they can.
Thank you to all the generous folk who have supported our school throughout the difficult year. Our thanks and gratitude goes out to all the whanau overseas who are still experiencing difficulties with the Covid 19 virus.
