A little family's much loved kitten disappeared for a few days only to be found with a badly broken leg

Auckland

Stevie the kitten disappeared for a while, just as his family of 3 kids and mum gave up hope of him coming home, they miraculously found him!

Unfortunately he has a badly broken leg and now they face difficult decisions:

Surgery to fix the leg -$1500

Amputate -$800

Euthanize - 4 broken hearts and $300 in vet bills

Ideally we want Stevie to have full surgery to restore the use of his leg however we simply don't have the money so the next most acceptable option is to amputate.

It may mean a smaller physical amount of kitten to love, but he would still be alive to be loved.

Please, a dollar or 2, help us to give a second miracle and keep this family and their furbaby together!

Leah and I went to uni together and I have watched her work so hard to keep her family happy, succeed at study, and take care of herself. I see so many pics of the mischief her and Stevie and Bob get up to, I just want them to stay together!

Use of funds

The funds will go towards the vet bills -at the moment it looks like amputation may be the best option.

On Leah's Behalf -STEVE UPDATE:  21 July 2017

The vet phoned late last night and said Steve had his leg repaired and splinted. He also has some internal injuries that should heal in time. He will need to be confined to a cage for 6 weeks. (thats going to be fun! 🐈☺). She has not given me a final cost yet as there will be ongoing treatment for those 6 weeks.

In light of the incredible outpouring of generosity towards Steve the Kitteh, and how much that has meant to my family as a sole-parent household, we have had an idea.

That the money in the Givealittle page fund will all be donated to the Mangere Bridge Vet Centre -any excess (after Steve) will specifically be used by them towards helping other low income families and their pets.

The Mangere Bridge Vet frequently does charitable and/or cheap medical care for animals. They help people on low incomes care for their animals..and lets face it, life is tough enough without Kitty and Doggo smooches to make everyone smile. Pets mean the world to us, whether we are rich or poor. 💜

I will thank everyone again..but truly, from the bottom of our hearts, we wont ever forget this.

💜🌟🌟THANK YOU 🌟🌟💜
