Nationwide

A unique conservation effort desperately needs help.

Wingspan National Bird of Prey Centre; providing research, captive management, rehabilitation, and education. It’s a people project, crowd-funded for over 25 years.

Wingspan has relocated to a new site, and urgently needs donations and support, to continue operating the successful conservation programme, and to build the new centre.

Wingspan is seeking support with other like-minded people and organisations. We would like to invite you to join us on the journey to achieve our goals.

The new centre will focus on conservation and education, while also promoting awareness of the environment, the importance of biodiversity and the unique cultural heritage surrounding birds of prey.

About us

We aim to restore New Zealand's birds of prey into our daily lives and secure their long term future.

Use of funds

$500,000 is now urgently needed to complete Stage 1 facilities, to open the centre to families, students, and visitors.

$500,000 to complete Stage 2 includes the research and education centre, additional breeding facilities, and incubation areas.
