Our annual Garden Party campaign and other collaborations have been cancelled due to Covid 19 - We need your support to grow NZ's resilience

Help us bring a love of vegetables, food education life skills and resilience to all New Zealand's children.

Garden to Table is a registered NZ charity currently running in 180+ schools nationwide, getting kiwi kids growing, harvesting, preparing, cooking and sharing good food. This work is funded by annual fundraising events like our Garden Parties and collaborations with aligned corporate sponsors. So far, we have lost 99k of projected income due to COVID-19.

We have all witnessed the panic-buying at supermarkets of relatively pre-packaged foods, many express concern about food security and there is a flurry of people learning how to make simple foods at home. It is clear that we need to produce food locally, grow our knowledge of how to make key wholefoods and the confidence that goes with knowing these life skills. This starts with children learning how to grow, harvest, and prepare fresh food. Garden to Table has been doing this work for ten years and we're growing.

We are passionate about the Garden to Table programme and need your help to weather the COVID-19 storm, develop online programme delivery AND continue to exist to respond to the increased demand for the Garden to Table programme - building resilience and health for all NZ's children.

About us

The Garden to Table programme is helping children all across Aotearoa New Zealand build resilience and essential life skills, by learning how to grow, prepare and enjoy fresh food. Our children need these skills now more than ever, but we need your help.

All across NZ funding bodies are closing to new applications, corporates are putting a hold on their donations, and generous, individual donors have become our lifeline. Garden to Table doesn't receive any government funding, although our work, building resilience and life-skills in children, has never been more important. Your support will help us to be here for the nearly 20,000 primary school children we work with each week, at this important time.

Use of funds

Your donations will support the Garden to Table Trust to build digital support for online learning and ensure the organisation still exists to pursue our goal of reaching every NZ child with the Garden to Table Programme.
