I have qualified to represent NZ in Scrabble at the World Championship this November. It's in Nairobi.

I have an opportunity to represent my country, doing something I love.

But I can't spend my family's holiday savings on a trip that benefits only me. And we can't afford to all go to Kenya together. So I'm trying my hand at crowdfunding.

How's it going? 31 August 2017

I have bought flights (with Air Qatar), and booked accommodation (with free breakfast!). My leave from work has been approved. My next steps will be to organise vaccinations and a visa. I can't believe there's only two months to go before I go!
