Family robbed of all valuables in daylight robbery including carpenters tools. Self employed carpenter no longer able to work.
Auckland
On Friday 6th April Seaid and Shabnam's flat was broken into in broad daylight and full view of the road.
They are a very hard working couple who have migrated from Iran to make NZ their home. They have one daughter attending school.
Saied is a self employed carpenter and had gone out to check on a job. While away burglars smashed the door off the lock. They stole the family car, valuables such as the TV, laptop computers, family jewellery, and all of Saieds carpenters tools, a value of $8000. Only the car was insured.
What makes this particularly devastating is that almost exactly a year ago Saied had all of his tools stolen from his van which was parked outside his flat. After replacing these tools himself Saied would take the tools from his van each night and keep them in the locked garage. Unfortunately this has not prevented them from being stolen again.
I am now looking for donations to purchase new tools for Saied. He is quite low at present and any support will make a great difference.
Saied and Shabnam are a very hard working couple from Iran who rent a flat from me.
All money raised will be to purchase replacement tools to enable Saied to continue in his work as a carpenter.
