Annual Art Exhibition

WHEN AND WHERE:

SWoA 2021 will be hosted at the Pūmanawa exhibition space of the Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora, Christchurch, between July 6th to 18th.

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP:

This year is our third year of launching SWoA - an art exhibition by sex workers for sex workers.

SWoA is not for profit, with our aim simply being to give sex workers a voice and an avenue to spark conversion with the general public. Who better to discuss nuances of the industry, than sex workers themselves?

Running a successful art exhibition isn't cheap. Our costs include:

- Gallery hire ($700)

- AV equipment hire ($ ?)

- Advertising costs ($2000+)

- Printing of promotional materials ($400+)

- Catalogue printing ($1000)

- Artwork transport costs ($300+)

- Opening Night food and drink ($700+)

- Assistance with entry fee and postage costs for those unable ($45ea+)

The prices above are only estimations - in reality, if we can afford to spend more on advertising to get the word out, then we will!
