SHAVE FOR A CURE - BRAIN CANCER TREATMENT
Jan was diagnosed with brain cancer in may of 2020 The treatment she is undergoing now is not funded has already costed more than $40,000.

I have decided to create a go fund me page for my best friends mother Jan, who was diagnosed with brain cancer last year. Myself and a few of my closest mates have decided to shave our heads to raise funds for Jan and also spread awareness for brain cancer. We will be shaving our heads on shave for a cure week which is the 10-14 of March.
Jan was diagnosed with brain cancer in may off 2020. She has had surgery, chemo and radiation and is now doing an unfunded treatment called avastin. Due to this type of chemotherapy not being funded, the initial treatment cost $30,000 and ongoing is $1700 every three weeks. Due to jan having to medically retire, the family is down to one source of income which makes it hard to pay for treatment.

Jan and the Hewitt family have had a huge impact on my life as a teenager. Seeing them all struggle through this time is hard and this would be a awesome way to show my appreciation to them
Use of funds
These funds will be helping pay for all the medical bills, treatment costs and all the monthly expenses that come with raising 2 teenage boys on a single income.
