Aliyah has been fighting leukaemia and now is in palliative care.
Waikato
Aliyah Brewster has leukaemia. The photo you see was taken in March 2021 as Aliyah celebrated her 15th birthday in Starship Children’s Hospital.
After a long hard battle with leukaemia, Aliyah’s diagnosis is now terminal.
Aliyah was first diagnosed with leukaemia in September 2018 at 12 years old. She had numerous treatments including chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant (donated by her younger sister Cheyenne). Last year in November 2020 the leukaemia returned. Aliyah, Warren (Dad) and Giselle (Mum) have spent most of this year in Starship Children’s Hospital where they have been fighting so hard to beat this. Sadly, Aliyah is now in palliative care.
We want Aliyah and her Mum, Dad and sister Cheyenne to know that NZ really cares.
So come on New Zealand, from ‘the rest of us’ to Aliyah and the Brewster family, please give a little.
I am privileged to be a close family member of these good kind hearted people. This beautiful young girl, soon to be angel, is my niece.
To support Aliyah, her parents and sister during this incredibly difficult time (end of life) and beyond.
Our angel Aliyah has her wings 15 June 2021
Aliyah passed peacefully on 3 June 2021 holding her Mum & Dad's hands. She was born of love and lived a life surrounded by love from all those who were touched by her.
Thank you NZ for your outpouring of love, support and kindness for the Brewster family during this most difficult time. It is a source of comfort to know that Aliyah is now at peace in the arms of her much loved God and Jesus, Our angel has her wings.
