We sometimes take spending time with loved ones for granted... this is all Tarsh wishes for.
Nationwide
Tarsh has idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. Her heart function has deteriorated to less that 14% function. She is now in heart failure and end of life organ failure. Her body is producing dangerously high amounts of lactic acid. All of which can be fatal.
She was recently in Waikato hospital but had to be transferred to Auckland Hospital for more specialized care. This is really hard for Tarsh as her children are so far away.
The doctors hope to stabilise her other organs to have right heart study and echo so she can have a transplant. She will be hospitalised for at least three months, but could be longer if she have to have a LVAD fitted. (A device to help the heart pump)
Tarsh is on a waiting list for a heart transplant but due to lack of donors, there's no way of knowing when this will be able to happen.
Please help Tarsh spend time with her family. Reality is, we don't know how long she has without a donor. Let's help her live and love ❤
Tarsh is a beautiful friend of mine. She doesn't have a big support network, so this is my way of doing what I can to support her through tough times ❤
The fundraised money will mean Tarsh's children will be able to go towards the cost of phone calls to contact Tarsh and the expenses of travelling from the Waikato to Auckland visit their Mum more frequently - without the added stress of having finding the money for travel, accommodation, food etc.
If Tarsh is discharged, any surplus funds will be used on making precious memories ❤

This time two weeks ago, Tarsh said a teary goodbye to her children and friends as she went in to have surgery to have her new heart put in.
She was woken just a short 24 hrs later and up out of bed within 48 hours.
Ten days later sent to Hearty towers. Most are here 2-3 weeks later.
Treated for rejection with high dose drugs the last 3 days which have made her feel awful.
Over all she is doing phenomenally.
This week can only get better.
All donations go toward petrol for caregivers to get too and from Hearty towers. Food for her and care givers during her stay up, as this is not supplied. Gas for her children to visit her. Unsubsidised medication and any other cost involved during her stay at Hearty towers as is not govt funded - she pays for everything while there.
