Please help us to give Nan the chance to make memories with her family & loved ones while she continues to battles this evil disease!
Auckland
Nan is a loving wife and mum of two teenage boys. She is a dedicated daughter and her sister’s best friend as well as being an awesome friend to many more of us.
A couple of years ago Nan discovered a very small lump in her breast and raised her concerns with her doctor. He was surprised she had even discovered it but knowing that Nan wouldn’t rest until she knew what it was, he organised tests as quickly as he could and Nan was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. In order to give herself the best chance at life, Nan made the difficult decision to have a full mastectomy followed by a round of Chemo. It was rough! She got quite ill and lost all her hair and yet through it all, remained positive and happy and even arranged some fundraising events at work for the Cancer Society.
After the Chemo sessions, she was given the news that her cancer was in remission and the world seemed a little brighter for awhile there, but sadly Nan found further lumps a short time after and again they were cancerous, but they were a different form of cancer. Treatment this time around was a lot tougher with both Radiation and Chemo and it really took a toll on her body but boy did she do well with her mindset! Every Monday Nan sends a Positive Mantra out to the NZ & AU teams which everyone appreciates.
Nan has been told that she is Triple Negative and every day now she has another struggle with her motion and pain management. She is currently still working but this is not easy and she does this to provide and support her family. She is worried about the financial and emotional impact this is and will have on her family when she is no longer able to help out.
So I have started this page so that as a community we can help provide some assistance to enable Nan to spend more precious time with her family and those she loves as she battles this evil disease. Any support you can provide is greatly welcomed – Thank you for your donation
