Southern Fire is an outreach campaign, hosted by churches & groups all over NZ, to share the supernatural love of Jesus with the nation.
In 1981, Pastor John Watson (of Abundant Life Centre, Dunedin) was born again when he had an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. One night very soon after this, he was caught up by the Holy Spirit and saw fires beginning to burn all over the south of New Zealand. A south wind blew, the fires become one fire and began to burn the full length of the country. The Lord gave him Ezekiel 20:45-49.
"In 2013 I felt led by the Holy Spirit that now is the time for an awakening and an outpouring of His Spirit in New Zealand. " - Pastor John Watson.'
In the last several months, doors have opened and supplies have miraculously come in, so the journey has begun. From February 2016, the Gospel message of Jesus will be taken throughout the South Island, with the North Island to follow in 2017.
