Stroke is the leading cause of disability in New Zealand.
Raising Awareness of Stroke, TIA's and the FAST Message can save lives.
It is important that people take the symptoms of stroke seriously and act fast.
TIA's (ministrokes) are smaller events that if left untreated can result in a full stroke.
The FAST Message is recognised internationally as an effective way to respond to the symptoms of a stroke.
Stroke Central produce resources and promotional items that help people to recognise these symptoms and react effectively to save time and reduce the effects of a stroke, which can result in disability for many.

Stroke Central provide free services to stroke survivors in recovery. We also raise awareness for stroke prevention.
About us
We are 'Partners In Recovery'.
Our aim is to support Stroke Survivors, Carers and their whanau.
Our Field Officers provide a free service to Stroke Survivors in recovery.
We support a Stroke Community that involves over 21 Stroke Clubs.
Use of funds
Stroke Central will use any funds raised to raise awareness in the local community.
Our services and information are free and more importantly they are essential for many stroke survivors and their families.
