Join us in helping Luna provide food, clean water, and hope to families affected by flooding in her hometown of Hinunangan, Philippines.
Auckland
My friend Luna has been living in NZ for the past 36 years. She recently travelled to the Philippines for her birthday- but while visiting her hometown Hinunangan, heavy rain and flooding have disrupted transport and left many local families struggling with food and basic supplies.
Even while stuck there herself, Luna has chosen to spend her time helping others - buying rice, canned goods, and clean water to share with those who have little or nothing left. She’s doing this out of her own pocket, but the needs around her are far greater than what one person can cover.
That’s why I’ve created this fundraiser - to rally support from friends and kind-hearted people here in New Zealand and beyond.
Your donation will go directly toward:
• Food packs (rice, canned goods, noodles, cooking oil)
• Clean drinking water and hygiene essentials
• Support for elderly and children in her neighbourhood
Funds raised here will be collected in New Zealand and transferred safely to Luna, who will send updates so donors can see the impact firsthand.
Even a small contribution - $10, $20, $50 - can make a real difference to a family in need.
Thank you so much for helping Luna extend kindness on her birthday, in the place she once called home. Together, we can turn a difficult moment into something hopeful.
Luna is my flatmate and friend, and I’m helping her continue her relief efforts for her hometown community.
