We are building a studio that will enable us to take our mission of valuing indigenous culture through their art forms to a whole new level.
Bay of Plenty
For the last 10 years we have been training artists, musicians, bands, and church teams the art of writing songs using their own indigenous languages and sounds. Seeing value put back on the indigenous art forms is a powerful way to honour and value an entire culture. We have been working in many countries around the world including our own here in Aotearoa.
We have produced, recorded and released multiple artists and we are continuing to partner with artists from all cultures to see their songs and sounds recorded and released. Almost all of the indigenous cultures we encounter and work with have been told and taught that their instruments, dances, songs, and other art forms, are evil. And when a culture drops it's instruments, stops its dances, and no longer sings its own songs, we see a massive loss of identity and self-worth take place.
Our mission has been, and still is, to see the reversal of this mass cultural identity crisis by valuing indigenous art forms through teaching songwriting and making an accessible way for songs to be recorded at a professional level. As we have seen a resurgence of indigenous art forms we have seen a restoration of indigenous culture.
We currently have an amazing opportunity to take our recording studio to a whole new level and record these songs and sounds with a new level of excellence. We are in the process of building a brand new studio and we need the materials to finish the job. We already have all the timber for the frames and ceiling.
The list of materials we are raising funds for are:
Noise Gib x 20 sheets
MDF board x 10 sheets
Sound insulation x 2 bags
Gib Fixings
MDF Fixings
Acoustic Panel x 10 sheets
Glass panes x 4
Window and door jams
Solid Core Door
Rubber strip linings
XLR & Jack snakes
Underlay & Rug
Any additional funds will go towards sound gear that is needed in the studio.
All donations are eligible for a charitable donations receipt.
InFlame Ministries has been training and recording musicians and songwriters since 2010. Our passion is to see indigenous songs and sounds recorded and released.
The funds raised in this campaign will go towards materials used to complete the sound room of the studio. These include Gib, Bats, MDF, Acoustic Panelling, fixings, joinery, and wiring.
