Hey everyone, just a few days ago our beloved Sunflour cafe was set on fire in an act of arson. As most of you probably already know the cafe was completely destroyed and will take months to rebuild. We are all devastated but staying positive during this trying time. Due to not having business interruption insurance the loss of wages and weekly profits will not be covered by insurance. The owner has applied to WINZ for any financial assistance they can offer but are still waiting to hear and this will not be enough to cover everything The money donated by our wonderful community will be used to pay staff wages hopefully easing some of the financial and emotional stress they are now under. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

We all work together and have become a close work family.. I just want to help everyone get some of what they are currently losing and try ease some of the stress this is causing us all.

Use of funds

The money will be used to first pay the staff wages (25 employees) and if there is any extra then this will be used to cover a small margin of the loss of income while we rebuild the cafe.
