Elena needs financial little help while recovering her eyesight after undergone 4 operations due to diabetic retinopathy.
Auckland
Elena, started as an international student and stayed in New Zealand with her husband and their only child.
Elena has vitreous hemorrhage caused by proliferative diabetic retinopathy. She had (2)two times operations at Auckland Eye Institute (by that time she is still waiting for the approval of her work visa). Then conducted another (2) two operations at Greenlane Hospital for both eyes. The whole family is asking for help since her husband resigned from work to guide Elena who is currently with no eyesight and to take good care of their only child.
They spent their savings and family assistance during the initial operations and regular expenses for months that she's on leave. A little financial help is much appreciated.
The family find it hard to take photos at the hospital due to emotional distress.
She and her family were good friends. I witnessed their financial difficulty due to operations of her both eyes and she cannot see as of the moment.
Funds will be used for spending when going home to Philippines, recover her eyesight, maintenance for her diabetes and to start a new life.
