Support us to save the Western Springs Forest
The Society for Protection of Western Springs Forest lodged an appeal in the Environment Court. Help us to save this precious native Forest.
AucklandIn the Heart of Auckland, behind the zoo, is a native forest that is a rich haven for wildlife. It is regenerating under a canopy of grand old pines and defined as a Significant Ecological Area.
Auckland Council are planning to destroy up to 75% of this native forest through clear-felling the 200 pines in a devastating logging operation that will turn this magical forest into a degraded scrub land of stumps and weeds.
With your help we can fund our appeal to the Environment Court and save this forest for the enjoyment of the public and the good of all the trees, plants and animals that live there.
Help us to ensure that this transitioning inner city native Forest is preserved and can be enjoyed for generations to come.
