Alys has incurable cancer in the UK. Goal is to support all her NZ family to travel and make some beautiful memories with her over there.

Many people have asked how they can support our lovely girl Alys, who after only a year of treatment has now been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
Her home for the past 10 years has been in the UK with husband Matt and more recently her gorgeous son Thomas who has just turned 3.
Alys's Queenstown family (Chris, Karen, Ely, Rory, Grace, Ben with his lovely partner Hitomi and baby Ria) of course want to spend quality time with her in the UK. Some of us expect to be in England for 5 months or so. Chris and I can manage flights for everyone but if you'd like to offer something here, it would be very much appreciated.

As Alys's stepmum I have watched a wee bubba grow into a beautiful outgoing teenager and now an amazing woman and mama herself. I want to provide our blended family and her father with the opportunity to spend quality time with her and her extended UK family.
Use of funds
This means leaving employment or leave without pay and finding rental accommodation close to her home in Birmingham and other associated living costs. We expect rental costs alone to be around $10k so any funds raised would go towards taking some financial stress away from Aly's siblings.

Here's a link to Alys's latest blog. Also a photo of Alys's niece Ria's first birthday. They all got to spend it together which was amazing for the family that are already there. Chris and I leave on Sunday and Rory and Ely on the 22nd. We get to all be there to celebrate the first anniversary of Alys and Matt's wedding which will be a goal achieved. Page will close soon but please everyone keep an eye on Alys's blog so you follow her progress and some of ours. All of your support so very much appreciated and will never be forgotten. It has given our family a new strength to go forward knowing we have so much support and love behind us xxx
