Supporting Chloe Kirkham & Family During Her Leukemia Journey

Help Chloe's Parents be able to stay by her side during her Leukemia Journey.

Northland

In the early hours of 31 January, Chloe Kirkham, just 2 years and 3 months old, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). In a matter of hours, her parents’ world changed.

Chloe is a happy, easy-going toddler who brings smiles to everyone around her with her cheeky personality and strong will. She always knows what she wants, and nobody can tell her otherwise.

Chloe was urgently transferred to Starship Hospital in Auckland, arriving by helicopter on Saturday morning, where she is now under the care of an incredible team of doctors and nurses. Everything has moved very quickly, and the family is taking things one day at a time as Chloe begins her treatment journey.

Chloe’s parents, Samii and Tom Kirkham have had to put work on hold so they can remain by her side. This has meant being away from home, relying on others to care for their pets, and managing household responsibilities from afar. Adding to this, Chloe’s mum Samii is three months pregnant, preparing to welcome their second child during an already overwhelming time.

This page has been created because many friends, family members, and people in the wider community have asked how they can help. Chloe’s family has not asked for financial support and is not expecting anything but for those who wish to help, this is a way to offer practical support and ease some of the pressure.

The intention is simply to remove some of the financial stress, allowing Chloe’s parents to focus fully on her care and wellbeing.

Chloe and family update.  13 February 2026

Chloe has finally been discharged from inpatient and now they are a family of 3 24/7 again staying at the Ronald McDonald house together, they were discharged a day later than originally planned due to a small set back but after a few tests Chloe was all good and got to leave with mum and dad.

Chloe is currently neutropenic so visiting is limited at the moment. Which means if she gets any kind of illness she will be back in hospital and could be life threatening for her.

So far she is doing incredibly well with her mood swings worse than a teenager haha.

Mum and dad and the rest of us family members want to also show huge gratitude for the incredible donations received from every single one of you, without your support and incredible generosity samii and Tom wouldn't both be able to stay with Chloe during this time and months to come so thankyou so so much whether that's donated to give a little, cooking meals, baking, or helping clean their house it all means so much to not just Samii and Tom but me as well Samii's sister and Chloe's Aunty .

So thankyou again so so much!!

Fingers crossed Chloe keeps trooping along so well 🤞🥰😍 ❤️
