Your generosity will not only provide Phippsy with financial support but also offer hope during this difficult time.

Our medic/water boy, Andrew Phipps, is one of the strongest and most loyal individuals we know. However, his life has taken a dramatic turn with a recent cancer diagnosis that has shaken him and his family to the core.
On December 9th, 2024, Phippsy received the news that he has testicular cancer. Life moved into the fast lane, and just 10 days later, he underwent surgery to remove the tumor along with a portion of his manhood. The recent scans and blood tests revealed that the cancer hasn’t reached the lymph nodes (he ’d be in serious trouble) but there was lymphvascular invasion where there is a presence of tumour cells within lymphatic or blood vessels, giving him a 50% chance of recurrence - a devastating blow for Phippsy and his family.
Next week, Phippsy will head to Palmerston North to begin an intensive 21-day chemotherapy treatment. This aggressive regimen is designed to reduce the risk of cancer returning to just 3%. He will be hospitalized for the first six days of treatment, followed by infusions on days 8 and 15. Unfortunately, this treatment will come with side effects, including severe sickness, fatigue, and hair loss, which will leave him laid up for some time.
If the roles were reversed, Phippsy & Maree would be the first to lend a helping hand.
Andrew, known as Phippsy is a valued member of our Clifton Premier Women's Rugby Management. Renowned for his camaraderie and positive spirit, he is not just a close mate but also a top bloke who contributes significantly to our teams success!
The funds will help cover essential costs such as petrol, accommodation, and the hiring of relief milkers and staff to keep the farm running while Phippsy is unable to work.
