Supporting Shenyce Marsden-Roberts

Shenyce was diagnosed at the age of 11 with rhabdomyosacoma on May 20th 2016, they found a 15cm size mass tumour on her left hand side between ribs and lung. shenyce under went chemotherapy and radiation - living in Starship for 9 weeks, then travelling back an forth to Starship hospital every 2nd week...

5th December 2016 surgery to have tumor growth removed which took 9.5 hours - a life time for me (Mum)!

Shenyce continued to have chemotherapy until March 2017. - got the clear!!! We were so happy and proud of her for fighting a battle no one should have to fight... Having regular check ups and CT scans, October 24th 2017, Shenyce relapsed, where a 4.5cm tumor was found in her lower back even though it was smaller it was 10x more active.

Shenyce under went the strongest dose of chemotherapy and radiation, we had a CT 19th of April 2018, results 27th April, from our Doctor up Starship saying the results are that the tumors have spread across her back and up around her lungs, the chemo an radiation haven't done anything to help shrink, so the possibility of surgery to have tumor removed was also taken from us. This is when our Doctor told us no more chemo or radiation that's it for treatment. We had to share this with Shenyce age 13 that she palliative.

Doctors say Xmas.. we hoping for 12 months or longer as any parent would wish.

She has her ups and her downs..but she always show her rays of sunshine, with the big beautiful smile of hers. Shenyce enjoys family time and being with friends.

Shenyce has a bucket list of thing she would like to tick off. We would like to help her achieve as many of these as she can while she is still physically able.
