Shelley has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.
Southland
UPDATE: 27 July
5 weeks after Shelley was diagnosed with AML she received some AMAZING news from her bone results... Shelley is in REMISSION after her first round of treatment! Such an amazing result and slightly overwhelming! The doctors did tell her it is unusual they are able to give such a positive result after the first round of treatment.
Shelley still has 2 more rounds of chemo to complete, just to be 100% certain but is planning to be back at work sometime in October!😁
Shelley is extremely grateful and blown away by all the support, donations, messages and wishes from everyone, and wishes she could thank you all personally.
Shelley was living life to the fullest when her world was suddenly turned up side down - Shelley was told she had an acute form of Leukaemia. Within hours Shelley was in Dunedin undergoing tests and doctors diagnosed Shelley with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML).
Just days after having AML diagnosed Shelley begun chemotherapy.
Please give a little to help Shelley and her family whilst she undergoes treatment over the next few months.
I'm Shelley's boss, workmate and friend who has set up this page to support Shelley and her family
By giving a little you will be supporting Shelley through her treatment, and helping Shelley's mum, partner and children with accommodation and travel costs between Te Anau and Dunedin.
Update #1 27 June 2017
Shelley and her family are blown away by everyones generosity and are extremely grateful of your donations and warming comments.
This week Shelley has had her hair cut nice and short by her Mum and Brendan! And completed her first round of Chemotherapy and is now just waiting for this round of Chemo to do it's thing. Shelley has been feeling 'good' for the past couple of days... and even managed to eat a Jimmy's Pie :)
