CELEBRATING SURFING IN GISBORNE!

Gisborne - Tairawhiti is known for its spectacular beautiful coastline and world class surf breaks.

Roberts Road is considered the birthplace of modern day surfing in Gisborne (1950's>) This break with splendid views around the bay is the perfect spot from beginners to retiree surfers.

It is time to tell the story. Since the 1950's we have seen three era's of surfboard design and history. We have three generations of surfers in one family who enjoy NZ's No.1 surfing lifestyle district.

Please help fund this project. The Artist/Project Manager Paulus has completed his design work and liaised with build engineers. He is currently working with Council in regard to consents and regulations that must be adhered to. This includes Geotech Survey etc.The estimated figure of up to $20,000 is to go toward the whole cost of the project.

OUR SURFING SCULPTURE! It's happening! Let's embrace it! Let's support it!
