Kaya ruptured her cruciate ligament and needs TPLO surgery
Bay of Plenty
One day I noticed Kaya had a limp, and she was lame in the leg. After Seeing two different vets, and having multipe vet visits, xrays (incuding sending to a radiologist) they concluded she had ruptured her cruciate ligament. And she needs TPLO surgery on her right leg.
Kaya does have pet insurance, which has helped a lot to cover her previous bills. But sadly it won't fully cover her surgery. They'll only be covering $700 of her surgery. It is my fault for not reading our policy, as it does state it only covers a small amount with surgeries related to this injury. I just didn't think Kaya would ever have an injury like this.
It has been extremely stressful, thinking about finances, the surgery itself, the recovery, trying to take time off work to be there with Kaya while she is recovering, and making my home safer/easier for an injured dog/dog in recovery. I just want Kaya to be back to her happy, healthy and normal self.
To be honest, I was really hesitant to create a givealittle. As I feel many will be judging me for this. But any help, is help for Kaya.
Her surgery is booked in on the Wednesday the 21st of July.
TPLO Surgery - Was quoted $3000 - $3500
